Michigan unionists fight new law
Hundreds of workers from across Michigan lined the walkways leading to the state Capitol in Lansing on Jan. 9 as incoming legislators arrived for their first day of a new term. The workers chanted against recently passed anti-union “right to work” legislation and held up signs featuring the photos of state lawmakers who voted against organized labor. The action was billed as a “Walk of Shame” as the workers loudly booed many officials they recognized.
