Over 1,000 demonstrators marched in downtown Portland, Ore., blocking a major four-lane street and protesting a year of Donald Trump’s racist, misogynist, white supremacist policies. They danced alongside a marching band, yelling rhythmic chants including, “Get up get! Get down! There’s a people’s movement in this town!” and “From Palestine to the Philippines, stop the U.S. war machine! From Honduras to the Philippines, stop the U.S. war machine!” Workers World Party members joined the strong, International League of People’s Struggle contingent.
