San Francisco Trans March

Several thousand people participated in the Trans March, which started at Dolores Park and ended in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district on June 23. API Equality-Northern California, along with Gabriela SF, Ieumsae and VietUnity, organized a militant and colorful contingent “to show our power as Trans and Gender Non-Conforming Asian and Pacific Islander people!”

The contingent made a powerful presence, with chants like “When I say trans, you say justice! Trans justice!” and “One! We are the people! Two! A little bit louder! Three! We want justice for all trans people!” The Korean drummers of Ieumsae added rhythm and enthusiasm to the contingent.
