We are at a critical juncture! Trump, the Pentagon generals and the entire U.S. imperialist system have escalated war — raining down bombs on Syria, Yemen and Afghanistan, and threatening north Korea with regime change. This dangerous escalation could start a nuclear war.

SHUT THE PENTAGON DOWN!

The U.S. military machine uses more oil than any other institution in the world and is the planet’s worst polluter.  Yet the Pentagon has a blanket exemption in all international climate agreements.

Imperialist wars, through massive bombings and drone strikes, have destroyed millions of people’s lives, creating untold numbers of deaths and injuries, misery and suffering.  They also endanger the earth’s ecosystems.

SOVEREIGNTY FOR INDIGENOUS PEOPLES WHO ARE LEADING THE WAY!

Indigenous peoples from Standing Rock to Bolivia, Honduras and Ecuador have shown the way in resisting capitalism’s attempts to defile the earth, destroy water supplies and break treaties. Support their struggles and call for sovereignty and self-determination for Indigenous peoples.

SUPPORT IMMIGRANTS AND BLACK, LATINX, ASIAN, ARAB AND NATIVE PEOPLES — AND ALL WORKERS!  MARCH ON MAY DAY!

It is crucial to unite with those who have borne the brunt of capitalism’s war on the people, those who stand the most to lose from climate disaster.  The climate crisis has forced many migrant workers to leave their homelands.  Environmental racism has destroyed the lives of many Black and Brown children and their families.

Don’t just march on April 29.  March on May Day!  May Day provides an opportunity to “Shut shit down” in defense of the most targeted workers — like immigrants and the Black community — but also all workers.

March after May 1.  Defend the strikers!  Join us as we raise our voices and put our bodies on the line to say “No!” to reprisals and firings of workers who strike.

Those participating in the People’s Climate March, who come from more privileged backgrounds, must also come out on May Day to defend migrants who have risked their low-wage jobs to demand an end to Trump’s war against them. Environmental activists should support workers who face reprisals for marching on May Day.

ONLY THE PEOPLE CAN SAVE THE PLANET BY RISING UP AGAINST RACISM, CAPITALISM AND IMPERIALIST WAR: SOLIDARITY & SOCIALISM ARE THE ANSWER!

MASSIVE UPHEAVAL IS THE ONLY SOLUTION TO CLIMATE CHANGE.

We need to build a new world based on human cooperation, solidarity and socialism. This means fighting racism, sexism, xenophobia, Islamophobia and anti-LGBTQ bigotry. It means supporting and defending immigrant workers.

Our first duty in the U.S. is to take down the imperialist system — the beast that has hindered human progress worldwide and caused the most destruction.  The U.S. was the first country to develop nuclear weapons and is the only country to have used them.  Washington committed a monstrous war crime when the Pentagon bombed civilian populations in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in Japan, in 1945, killing and injuring hundreds of thousands of people.
