WW photo: LeiLani Dowell

Some 2,000 women from across India converged in Kerala for the third All-India Women’s Conference from Jan. 29 to 31. The gathering, organized by the All India Mahila Samskarika Sanghatana, focused on resisting atrocities committed against women in India, including gang rape, child marriages, dowry killings, sexual harassment in workplaces and more. Attending in solidarity were international delegates from Bangladesh, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the U.S. More coverage of this event will appear in future issues of Workers World (workers.org).
