The program included solidarity messages from Berta Joubert-Ceci of the Philadelphia International Action Center; Dr. Anthony Monteiro, a professor of African-American Studies at Temple University; Ramona Africa of the MOVE organization; Godfrey Sithole, Philadelphia-area representative of the African National Congress; Walter Smolarek of the Party for Socialism and Liberation; and Betsey Piette of Workers World Party.
