The Philadelphia Chapter of the International Action Center celebrated its 20th anniversary with a benefit dinner on Jan. 6, featuring national IAC co-director, Sara Flounders, and Pam Africa, of International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal.

In addition to short statements of solidarity from Patrice Parmstead, Building Peoples Power; Ray Martinez, Service Employees Local 668; and Wafai Diaz, Temple University Students for Justice in Palestine, the crowd was treated to revolutionary poetry by Palestinian writer Susan Abulhawa and Puerto Rican spoken-word artist Julia Lopez, along with songs by Kevin Price and a slide show of photographs featuring two decades of IAC political activities.
