Western New York denounces Honduras coup

An emergency demonstration supporting the Honduran people’s resistance and the reinstatement of illegally deposed President Manuel Zelaya was held in Buffalo, N.Y., on Sept. 29. Called by the Peace, Justice and Anti-War Coalition, the action was attended by activists from the Buffalo/Western New York International Action Center, the Latin American Solidarity Committee of the Western New York Peace Center, and Workers World Party. Several students stopped to ask about events in Honduras, which have been largely absent from the media here.
