1. Because I could. That’s why.
2. Two weeks ago I became so frustrated I spilled Dom Perignon on my foie gras.
3. Someone has to represent the 1 percent, aside from the cops, the courts, the media and, if necessary, the National Guard.
4. Working-class people can be so annoying.
5. They made their point: capitalism is rotten to the core. Now it’s time to move on to more important things, like capitalism.
6. When poor people begin to organize, it gives me the willies. Better to have them march into the voting booth to elect liars than marching in the streets for themselves.
7. Millions of people are not more powerful than billions of dollars. Am I right, people?
8. If protesters actually thought I meant it when I said I was for democracy, they aren’t very smart after all.
9. Some people began to think the cops aren’t my private, paper-trained attack dogs -- wrong!
10. Contagious public health hazards were beginning to spread … such as class consciousness.
