Mumia death sentence ruled ‘unconstitutional’
Published Apr 27, 2011 6:47 PM
April 26 —
The U.S. Court of Appeals for
the Third Circuit has unanimously
ruled that Mumia
Abu-Jamal’s death sentence is
unconstitutional. The court reaffirmed
its 2008 finding that
Abu-Jamal’s sentencing jury
was misled about the process
for considering evidence supporting
a life sentence. WW
will have more coverage on the
ruling next week.
