Fighting racism in North Carolina

A mass demonstration July 20 against racism and school resegregation in Wake County took to the streets of Raleigh, N.C., as 1,000 people marched from the Convention Center to the State Capitol building. A civil disobedience action took place after the march which resulted in 19 arrests including Black church leaders and city council members. Youth activists were also arrested including members of Raleigh Fight Imperialism, Stand Together.
