The New York City branch of Workers World Party held a forum on
“Women, the global capitalist crisis and the growing fightback”
March 13 at the Solidarity Center. The forum commemorated the centennial of
International Women’s Day recognized on March 8. Speakers covered a range
of developments that socially impact women of all nationalities, ages and
gender expressions, such as sexual exploitation, unemployment, budget cuts,
war, occupation and racism. Building solidarity and the need for socialism were
common themes for a number of the talks. Hear the podcasts of the presentations
at www.workers.org.
