Republic’s workers stand for fightback

The following message was read at Jan. 17 NYC Fightback
meeting:
The members of UE Local 1110, workers from Republic Windows and Doors, stand
with you in demanding a people’s bailout. Corporations got bailed out, we
got sold out. It is time we held corporations and our government accountable
for the economic hardships we are suffering.
Whether it is foreclosures or evictions, layoffs or plant closings, this is a
moment in history where people need to resist, organize and fight back. We hope
our struggle shows what can be won when people unite and stand up. We hope many
more are now motivated to carry the struggle for economic and social justice
forward.
Best wishes for a successful and productive meeting.
